About CoCo's Grill

Located at 845 W 5th Ave, Columbus, OH 43212, CoCo's Grill operates as a chinese restaurant serving Columbus in Ohio. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as asian restaurant, restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Columbus; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Ohio are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 10:30 am–9:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (614) 429-0790. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, cocosgrillohio.com.

Coco’s grill has some good finds. We tried this place out through their Uber Eats Buy 1 get 1 free deals. Although we only have gotten take out from this small business, we have found one consistent favorite: the szechuan chili fish bowl. The soup has been consistently tasty, it is always piping hot on arrival (via food delivery), and the fish is perfectly cooked. Would absolutely recommend this dish. As far as the BOGO deals, they only have a couple of options: sesame chicken, general tso’s chicken, and teriyaki chicken. Each dish comes with a side of white or fried rice. If you are looking for your typical β€œamerican chinese” food, these chicken dishes fit the description, and the fried rice and lo mein do too. The dishes are a little on the oily side but do deliver on the flavors you’d expect.

So glad I took a chance and ordered Coco’s Grill. I have finally found the lo mein I’ve been searching for!!! Portions were large and the food was flavorful. I ordered delivery and it arrived piping hot. I have found my new favorite and will definitely be a regular customer!

Friendly staff. Very mediocre food. We were a family of four eating take-out here. Visually, the food looked good and it was hot when we arrived home. However, none of us enjoyed or finished our meals. It was at best mediocre. I’ve had pork belly many times at various establishments and this was by far the worst I’ve ever eaten. Full of fat. Like most of the pieces were mostly or all fat. Flavor not good either. Chicken fried rice, lo mein noodles and crab Rangoon was just as β€œmeh”. Will not be eating here again.

Coco Grill is a hidden gem for Japanese food lovers. From the first bite, you can taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients. I ordered the special sushi and ramen, both perfectly prepared. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring my experience was memorable. The atmosphere is peaceful and modern, making it perfect for a relaxing dinner or a night out with friends. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to anyone looking for authentic Japanese cuisine in the city. Don’t forget to check out the photos I uploaded to get a better idea of how amazing everything is!

As a foodie from Sichuan, this place has lots of room for improvement. We ordered different noodles after a long day of travel. They should not use the yellow noodles as they don't taste good with the hot spicy sauce. Another feedback is the Spicy Beef Noodle was way too salty, as the chef should cut down the amount of the salty bean paste in half and add some other spices to enhance the fragrance.
